So one of the main things that I love on google maps is amazing combo of StreetView and Castles!
If you have ever meet me @YK1001 @SoniaK @KarenVChin or spent anytime at one of our #ManchesterLocalGuides @AdrianLunsong @deadmanjones @PeteMHW events then you will know how much I love to explore castles!
Recently I have got my self a 360 camera in the form of a Drone! (Whoop) which has let me grab some incredible photos of a few castles in the UK (Mostly in wales)
So I thought it was about time that I shared some more of the think I love most, and I enjoy reviewing on google maps the most! A Castle!
Sadly I am unable to embed the 365 Photos! so if anyone knows how to do this do give me a shout out!
This is Caernarfon Castle (Wales) (https://goo.gl/maps/qwTU6MzVNDoThGZq7)
- Maybe one of the best castles in the UK, its massive and has never been defeated because of its huge walls!

Lastly Conway Castle (https://goo.gl/maps/XrMZg4NriXR2yDeN8)
Very famous castle, very popular tourist attraction! Its got some great views and some very high towers!

My passion for Castles is so great I have actually started a List of all the Castles in the UK (I do still need to map out Scotland!)
You can find my list here:

As you can see the UK has maybe the one of the highest number of castles for anywhere!
We are littered with them!

@TimBull Hi buddy! This is wonderful passion, Tim and I understand you very well. I also love castles and sometimes I can add new old castle to Google Map like this few days ago in the Roundhay Park. You can add to your list if you want.
Roundhay Castle is located in the northern part of the park, between the lakes: Upper and Waterloo, Roundhay Park, Leeds LS8 2HH.

I shared in this forum 2 more castles: Raby Castle, Staindrop, Darlington DL2 3AH(https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t5/General-Discussion/Raby-Castle-and-garden/td-p/1297603) and Castle Howard, Castle Howard, York YO60 7DA (https://www.localguidesconnect.com/t5/General-Discussion/Castle-Howard-in-England-is-not-a-real-cast...). You can add both to your list as well if you wish.

Coming from a country/city/island with no castles, I am very intrigued by them. The last castle I visited was in France, and while it was big and grand, it didn't have the same rustic old ruins feel that some of your castles have. I think it's nice.
Since so many of these are terribly old, and partly damaged, is there any way one can classify it as a 'proper' castle, or some leftover ruins?
@ people, Tim's drone 360 photos of the castles are really beautiful. I've seen a few and I love them!
@TraciC I petition to have Connect 2020 to be held in a castle! It will be a nice change of fresh air, and we will be able to accommodate at least 1,000 people too!

@GeorgeR68 Amazing!
To be able to add a castle is well good.
I have added a few "stumps" which were the old location of castles but never one that is still standing. You should get bonus points for that!
Also I have been to Raby Castle! I do like that one, but do you not think its more of a big house!?!?! 😉

You should get bonus points for that! I never read about special bonus but thank you @TimBull.
Castle Howard is a stately home in North Yorkshire, England, 24 km north of York. Castle Howard is not a real castle, but you must know that this term is also used for English village houses erected on the site of a former military castle... (based on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle_Howard).
@TimBull Your work with the list of castles and this photographic documentation is a masterpiece in my opinion.

There are loads of castles in Ireland! But I have only been to a very small number. Game of Thones was filmed in lots of castles on the Northern Ireland North coast!
Ive been to Audley Castle, https://goo.gl/maps/t1FEs7T5zZAaLq9T7
And Dublin Castle (but thats not really a castle!)
Maybe that should be my next project... a map of all the castles of Ireland!
PS, I often go to the Isle of Man which is half way between us! That has some amazing castles! Well worth a trip.
