We only see clouds from above while traveling by air. But can’t actually feel the way clouds are while in
a flight. But we wanted to feel and see the clouds from being on the land. With that dream, we visited Sajek
Valley, land above the clouds.
We started our visit from Kolabagan, Dhaka by Non-AC bus costing 520 Taka (around 6.5 USD). We
reached in the Dhighi Nala of Khagrachari district. From there we had to catch a four-wheeler locally
called “Chander gari”. They named it because those Jeep can climb the mountain. To hire a Jeep for 12-
15 people for 1 day can cost 8000-9000 taka ( around 100 USD). We reached in the Same Valley around
1 pm. We checked in a local wooden made resort which has balcony hanging at the cliff.
There are several places to visit in Sajek Valley:
Kongkak mountain in Konglak para (last village in the top of the hill) has an excellent view of the whole area
and Lusai hill of India. It is a 40 minutes climb in the hill and in the end, you will feel the beauty. Best time for the climb is the early morning while there will be clouds around it.
Hajachara fountain is a stunning place for natural view but it takes a great deal for anyone to walk 5 km
down with a bumpy road. But it feels so exciting to travel there.
Dighinala swinging bridge: It is a nice place to stand in the middle and look at the beautiful world around
you.
The most significant feature of Sajek is the beauty you get to see in the early morning when you step out
from your room and see clouds are floating under your balcony. Eventually, these climbs up and gives
you a feeling of touching it or standing in between the clouds. You will remember your life about the
calmness and this awesome feeling.
You only can find local foods here mostly rice, chicken, vegetables and lentil soup. But their special item "Bamboo Chicken" which is a chicken curry made with young bamboo shoots cooked inside the bamboo. if you like a 
The only problem is there is no electricity and you have to survive on solar electricity and hardly there will be a mobile network.
