Name: Roman
Location: constantly moving .... mostly can be caught in Leiden, Netherlands / Birmingham, UK / Bratislava, Slovakia
What I love about Local Guides: well I am a huge fan of volunteering and crowd-sourcing. I am an active volunteer (mostly in education and environment preservation) and I treat local guides as a volunteer crowd-sourcing community that shares data that make the lives of tourists, visitors and explorers like me easier. I believe it is a win-win situation for all.
What I like to explore: I don't like tourist traps and I am more about experiences than locations. I don't take a lot of photos as I like to live the moment rather than having a digital copy of it.
Factoids: Extremely competitive and I love to explore new sports. Love to play badminton and squash and I am a licensed FUTSAL coach. I lecture at Universities on different Economics topics and I relax through crafts like crocheting (very manly!)

Hi everyone!
Let me briefly introduce myself:
Name: Alena
Location: Krakow, Poland — though I’m originally from Kiev, Ukraine.
What I love about being a Local Guide: to share photos (of hotels' rooms, menus, goods on shelves, etc.) making our life easier.
My favorite cuisine to explore: national cuisine of each country I am visiting.
Fun Facts About Me:
1) I've taken a photo of a ghost in Angkor Wat Temple in Cambodia;
2) When I was 4 years old my friend and I left my home for a big adventure trip, but it ended in 7 hours with the police escorting us back home

Hi Everyone !
1. Name: Dr. Ajinkya Buradkar
To keep it easy, I prefer people calling me AJ
2. Location: Mumbai, India, nah nah "Its Incredible India"
Originally I hail from City of Oranges thats Nagpur, India
3. About Myself: I am budding doctor by profession in Mumbai and currently pursuing my dream to achieve medical residency spot in United States.
While in hospital, I take care of patients but when I am not in clinic, I take care of my community. Every place I travel as work-tour or as a tourist, I always leave a guiding trail by writing reviews and making good connections with locals. Meeting new people, Networking and Making connection as human bond are on top of my mind.
4. Being a Local Guide: I cannot imagine a day without google maps. You travel anywhere, look for any store or inquire about timings, everything has been put on google maps by the people and for the people; And I am not taking this for granted, I want to reciprocate it back to the community and that gives me a feeling of being proud local guide. I have not only written reviews and posted pictures, but always took opportunity to add a missing place or make an edit to wrong information. One thing which I do on top priority is "Accessibility facilities for disabled people", I see for their convenience as they are the ones who suffer the most if they don't get proper guidelines. I encourage all Local Guides to unite together and do revolutionary for the society.
5. My Favorite Destinations Explored: I leave no opportunity to travel. In India, right from Himalayan Trekking Camps at top to Ferry boats at KanyaKumari at bottom of India, I explored everything. I hail from West part of India, so Goa's beaches and Sahyadris mountain range were explored a lot of times since childhood. I am yet to explore east part of my country, and I plan to execute it very soon. Best trip so far has been USA, where I got to stay in NYC for 5 months and have explored every nook and found every hidden gems in city's corner.
6. My Favorite Cuisines: My love those circles kept in square boxes and eaten in triangles aint getting lesser anytime. Yes, I am talking about Italian food. I love pizzas.
Apart from that, Mexican shrimp tacos from Chelsea Market are worth dying for. And Shake-Shak burgers to Artichoke pizza, list would go on.
7. Fun Fact About me: I am technology geek with go pro on my head. Armoured with pixel 2 and Google assistant and Ofcourse google maps on board, no destination is too far. My love for learning different languages help me know culture in depth and guide tourists at ease.
Hope to meet you all at Google Connect Summit 2018 this October! #LocalGuidesConnect.
