What do I love about being a Local Guide: As a local guide I love to add new places on Google maps. I love to travels and collect information. I love to join the meet-up program. I love to help others.
I love to share: I always love to share my knowledge and experiences with others i met . It also help me to learn from them. I love to put useful information on maps. I feel great when i see that people are getting help from my information.
How did I hear about Local Guides: I knew about the Google Local Guides from a facebook post. From where i got to know everything about this program. Then i joined as Local Guides, This is how I became a part of this wonderful community.

Fun Fact about me: Wherever I go✈ I use the Maps to ask me of the clasifications✈✈. This platform helps me to meet awesome people that do the same things as me. It's important for me to point out the accessibility of many places. If I got the chance I try to say to the one in charge if I see they do not contemplate the people whit functional diversity.

my name is Svitlana. I'm a Level 6 Local Guide from Mukachevo, Ukraine.
As long as I remember myself I've been tremendously socially active. I've involved myself in all kinds of volunteering programs, both in our city and online. That's just my nature!
I am extremely happy to live in an age of Internet. It gives us an unbelievable opportunity to go beyond the borders and restrictions. One day I decided: No more boarders! I wish to see the World 360°
People say the Internet is not connecting people, 'cause we forgot how to actually communicate. I say the Internet is like money: You can hire a killer or feed the hungry.
Same here: you can watch porn 24/7 or be useful for the Globe. You are the one who chooses.
I joined Local Guide accidentally. It happened as it always happens to me. While travelling to a neighbour city I visited a nice place with really yummy food and cheerful barista.
I was full of gratitude and looked for the way to leave the review. This is when Google offered me to join Local Guides program. Of course I said: Yes!
I've been born and spent my childhood in Asia. Nowadays I live in a picturesque region of Transcarpathia. It has a fantastic nature and hardworking people.
The more I lived here the more I realized how little people value themselves. I know how hard people earn their money and I wish them to get an appropriate service every time they pay.
I believe that by adding reviews on Google Maps, I help people decide where to spend their precious time and money - not to waste one.
I always remember this quote: You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.
As far as I always wanted to travel the world and my own financial situation didn't let me do this much, I decided that even I've got some constraints in life, my intellectual abilities are boundless.
I felt that even I couldn't yet travel myself, I already could improve other people's travelling. I do live in a very small house, but my windows look out on a very large world.
After I joined Local Guides Connect I also realized how important the information we add is for handicapped people.
As long as you can see, hear and walk you don't really care about this essential thing.
Nowadays I ask the owners of the places I visit how exactly do people in wheelchairs can visit their place etc.
I feel responsibility to add the correct and full information to Google Maps.
Fun fact about me: my friends started to call me and ask information about services in our city. It's funny 'cause all the info is actually on Google and they can easily find it, but somehow they think I'm the one who knows everything 🙂
My motto: The only thing that will redeem mankind is cooperation.
We were not put here on Earth to compete each other. We are here to learn how to love, see the needs of each other and lend a helping hand whenever it needs to be lent. Aren't we?
My Dream is to work for Google. I'm always checking the vacancies but I haven't yet seen any in my area. I don't give up.
As soon as Google has got freelance jobs or I am able to change the location - my dream will come true.
