My free 100GB Google Drive storage expired yesterday after I have reached previous level 5 Google Guide last year. I was asked to clear my drive because I have exceeded my 17GB storage and I wouldn't be able to send and receive emails if I don't do so. (Alternative is to pay obviously)
I try to clear space and then realize my photo uploads on Google local guide or Google Map are actually counting towards my usage. Can I actually delete them so that I can free up my Drive space?

Hi @clivel I'm going to move your post to the General Discussion so it can be answered!

Hi @clivel You can simply change your Photos from Original Resolution to High Resolution by following the instructions here. That way your Google Maps contributions won't be counted to the quota (however will be reduced to a 12MP resolution).

Thanks for the tips.
But I still find it very discouraging to use my own drive space for contributing to Google's product.
Not happy at all.
