Acknowledgement recieved for summit 2017 application

Just noticed in my mailbox that I have recieved an acknowledgement from Google local guides, thanking for applying and I will come to know if I am selected or not by 19th May.Screenshot_20170504-070220~01.png

Same here.  It seems all applicants have to wait until 19 May for the selection result.

Well, I was of the impression that Google will only mail us in case we are selected, When I saw this mail in Notification bar, you won't believe, I skipped a beat of my Heart assuming something else. And then opened the mail and realized its just the confirmation. 😉
