Hello @DibyayanC and @aashishvanand,
Thanks for sharing some links. At the time I have received these links, it appears many of the locations have already reverted back to their original form. Google has features in place to auto remove this type of spam as it happens although it is not always an instantaneous process. We appreciate your reporting and as always, please continue to flag these items you see on Google Maps as inappropriate and they will be reviewed in due course.

@BruceDM That fellow "Agarwal Packers and Movers" Hasn't stopped every time we mark a location as spam and try to retrieve it. He is popping with the same name in 10 different locations. Cant this Agarwal Packers and Movers be marked as permanent spam. Why is Google so trained AI getting spammed in spite of so much spam filtration!
See this is the screenshot captured on 10/12
this is screenshot captured now. It doesn't seem like its removed.
I have used incognito in both the cases so no caching of old data.
Instead of firefighting back can we find the root how is creating such tags (using Google for MyBusiness listings or some other way) and how is it getting edits approved each and every time for him"anyway to track that fellow down block his account so that it isn't repeated.
Or permanently add Agarwal Packers And Moϋers Chennai to the Spam list

@BruceDM Here is the fresh list you wanted. There is no way to suggest an edit by us unless its a popular place or a well-known place. The person who has done so has masked the Address, Name, and Photo. The only way to retrieve the original identity is restoring the name back from your side. If we are marking it as spam then potentially that place could be removed totally from the map.

Hello @aashishvanand and @DibyayanC
Thanks again for your lists. I understand that this is a frustrating process. This is a well known spam item that we monitor although I am unable to share details into the process of removal nor why certain items continue to manifest. This is in the interests of keeping our processes protected from those who might want to spam the map!
Your reports are appreciated and very useful in cleaning up the map. I'd simply like to note that as frustrating as it is, I can assure you that you are not the only line of defense in our battle against bad agents such as these. The process isn't immediate in many cases but the spam eventually will be acted upon.

@BruceDM Sure I can get it. But I don't understand how can you filter based on what we mark as spam. The regular spam category which we usually mark denotes that the place is spam. But what we want to classify is that this place has been converted to a potential spam. Can you be much clear on that part! Or is there anywhere where I can report this specifically so that team is notified immediately.
I had a friend, who worked for maps team at Google, Bangalore. He has given partial hint how google prevented local language abusive words not to be listed on the map. I am sure that Google is working on this too. I never said I have lost hope. But all these spam should be eradicated immediately.
Not all local guides might notice this spam unless its a very familiar place or a place which you visit so often. If a tourist is new to the city and wants to take an uber and the place which he planned to visit was potentially spammed by this method and the name is changed then he would obviously loose faith in maps. So I made it clear how serious this could lead to.

@Atsukot I couldn't find the previous message in our private conversation to report spam. But I'll try to post Place Name spammers in this post and keep the post live.
@Osaka78forTRUMP Yeah that sounds cool! A virtual meetup during Christmas to hunt down spammers in India? Or a local guide meetup like "Food Crawl", "Photo Walk", "Map Edit", "Geo Walk" for this case "Spam Hunting" would be perfect 😛 😛

Ok, @aashishvanand, that sounds good. Can Local Guides who want to participate just join in with you right here? We can give you a fair bit of our spare time to hunt Packer Spam from now until New Years. World Wide Food Crawl is winding down, so is work for a bit soon. Can probably give you at least an hour each day for the next 10 or so days. Let us know if that sounds good to you guys. Kind regards from Osaka78
