Is it possible to add the board for the Russian language?

Is it possible to add the board for the Russian language?

In the menu, I see  "Conversation by language" with many languages supported. I see all European languages but except Russian. Please add it. I know a lot of russian-speaking local guides! Addition of this board may help a lot...

Hey @AlexanderRex,

As you know, all languages are welcome on Connect but most official communications are written in English. A Russian board (as well as other language boards) has been requested and the team is considering adding additional boards in the future. One of the main goals of Connect  — and Local Guides — is bringing people together no matter where they are from or which language they speak. We all have the same passion: share our world with others. Google Translate is enabled across all of Connect to encourage conversations across borders and we encourage you to take advantage of this feature to connect with others. We know no translation tool is perfect, but it does help us to talk with one another around the world.

Здравствуйте !

Введение русского языка , на мой взгляд , подняло бы рейтинг местных гидов .

Ведь во всех республиках  бывшего Советского Союза , русский язык был обязательным к изучению . На нем и сейчас говорят очень многие .

Пользуясь возможностью , задам вопрос - кто из модераторов знает русский язык ?

Если говорить о модераторах форума Connect, то их 13 человек. Это волонтёрский статус. Среди них нет русскоговорящих.

Насколько я знаю, в команде Local Guides также нет русскоговорящих сотрудников. По крайней мере, я ни разу не пересекался с такими. 

Однако, есть много подвижек в лучшую сторону - интерфейс на русском, информационные письма также теперь приходят на русском языке.
