Start Contests on Connect with Prizes

Hello Guys,

We regularly post photographs, our travel stories, local stories and much more here on the forum.

What I propose is, there should be regular contests for the Connect Members on selected topic or theme by the Google Team to encourage more innovations in the community.

This adds up as a motivation to push the limits and also exchange of better ideas.

Example: Photo Contest with the theme "Black & White" or "Transport"

Similarly for videos, stories etc.

Follow up to that, do you think that the process of creating topics, the Local Guides may also be able to join?

Thanks for the reply.

The topics or theme to be selected by either Connect Moderators or Google Moderators and some prizes to be included for the top 3 or top 5 according to the allocation. It would be open to all Local Guides. If required Google can organize country wise contests too.

I saw the Friday Favorites. It's good to give a moral boost but contests are always more fun as you can add a creative element to it.

Kudos to the well thought construction of the proposed idea, as follow up to that I have changed the status of the post, so that other Local Guides may vote and show support.

I think that buy doing lots of work on Google guide many people get board to bring new change I would like to suggest an idea that if we organise a contest in month or a week that those who get more likes and views aswell good support from audience then they get a good perks accordingly this will create a sense of compitition and all will take part and it will boost up they google guide.
