Selection of participants for the Local Guide Summit - Status changed to: Closed

Hi friends!

The Local Guides program evaluates users by placing points for their contribution.

At the same time, the selection criteria for participation in the summit are rather blurred.

I suggest the Local Guides team, before the summit

Place a table on the www.localguidesconnect.com

Publish a list of members in the table
specifying the criteria (in points) on which they are chosen.

Странно, что все предыдущие разы списки участников были недоступны даже самим участникам.

Hi Everyone! We published the criteria for past events on our event website as well in all communication. We have no plans to create a list of all Local Guides and their points. Being selected for our annual event in the past has had to do much more than simply checking off boxes; we look for well-rounded creators who best represent our global community. 

I can appreciate that you'd all like a surefire way to be selected to attend our annual event (by the way, we haven't shared any information about whether or not a 2019 event will take place, but I get the excitement) but by looking at those who have shared their experiences at past events and looking at our published criteria, it gives you a better idea of what the team has looked for in attendees. 

We have no plans at any point to publicly or privately share lists of event attendees with one another as we respect everyone's privacy. Not everyone wants to be identified or collected in a way like this, however, we do give folks badges on Connect as a perk which is tied to their access to a private area in which they can share personal information with each other.

I honestly don't want to be in anyone's list.  When summit time comes or open application for summit, I'm suddenly getting a bunch of random friends request in other social platforms. 

Though I appreciate everyone's excitement, I don't feel comfortable opening my life to everyone, especially when I have photos of friends and and family there.
