Edit address and street name in Ukraine

Previously, we in the Google Map Maker Ukraine community had the opportunity to edit addresses, streets of cities and villages of Ukraine. Unfortunately, this possibility in Ukraine is now turned off, although such a functionality persists in other countries. This situation leads to a daily accumulation of unpublished and unused revisions, which complicates the use of Google search and mapping services both in Ukraine and for users outside its borders. Significantly worsens the situation and, even, it carries political and reputational risks, the impossibility of providing a process of decommissioning, which involves making changes to the names of settlements and changing the names of streets in Ukraine. In view of the critical importance and sensitivity of the issue of de-communization, we ask for your support and assistance in increasing the ability to edit Google maps address for local guides  in Ukraine.

Раніше ми в спільноті Google Map Maker Ukraine мали можливість редагувати адреси, вулиці міст та сіл України. Зараз ця можливість в України, на жаль, вимкнена, хоча такий функціонал зберігається в інших країнах, зокрема в Росії. Така ситуація призводить до щоденного накопичення не внесених і не застосованих правок, що ускладнює використання пошукових і  картографічних сервісів Google  як в Україні, так і для користувачів за її межами. Значно погіршує ситуацію і, навіть, несе політичні та репутаційні ризики, неможливість забезпечення процесу декомунізації, який передбачає внесення змін в назви населених пунктів і зміни назв  вулиць в Україні.  Зважаючи на критичну важливість і сенсетивність питання декомунізації, просимо Вашої підтримки та сприяння в збільшенні можливостей редагування карт Google для провідних експертів в Україні.
