Change Connect back to previous layout and design.

Please change connect back to the old way. We used to be able to have conversations with people and it was so much easier to post something. I cannot stand this layout and I barely even want to log on anymore to look. I cannot find anything like the way that I used to. It is not user friendly to me anymore. Oh well, I'm only one person though.

I agree about it being confusing and that we do not know where we are (what Board) at any given time except that we are at someone's post.

Even when we are creating a new thread post the choice of topics do not match.  Very confusing

I do not know about going back to the old Platform however; I do agree that the "ideology" here is not conducing to profuctivity.

I love the idea that we can write our own editorials but do not like the advertorials or being advertised.

There seems to be no ideology.  It looks and feels at times like a mishMash.

I can assure you that you are not just ONE person and that a growing number of committed Local Guides feel precisely the same.

If you can spare the time to explore the forum in greater depth you might come across some of them but at present it is almost impossible for those of us who have made suggestions in the Idea Exchange to locate our own contributions.

That is how I happened to come across yours but the one I posted earlier today still appears to have gone AWOL and this is around the tenth page I have scrolled down to find it already.

If you check your inbox you will notice that there was a very detailed, honest and intelligent critique of the new system by a Level 8 Local Guide which has suddenly been removed from this thread.

I hope it was deleted by its own author (Charlie925 ) rather than censored by someone behind the scenes.

@YasumiKikuchii would like to read your response but it will not translate to English. I am mobile and do not have a translator on my phone and it didn't automatically convert to English as I have it set.

The current layout is still a baby's condition. I can not ask babies right away.

I will support those who positively express opinions like you. But I think it is too early to think that I want to return to the past. Do you have any positive ideas? Please let me know.

@YasumiKikuchiihank you for translating your reply. I think one positive idea would be to give people the option to use the old version still if they wanted to, but that would mean Google would have to support two platforms. I am sure that this was beta tested but did they have people beta test from there mobile devices? I hardly ever use a desktop computer. I take pictures on my mobile device and then do reviews from mobile and use connect from mobile. On this new version I have lost badges I earned on the previous version, like giving 2500 kudos and receiving 1000 kudos, and also I believe I was at almost 25 posts. I just do not think that this version is as user friendly as the old one. Yes it looks much better, but no as easy to navigate.

It seems necessary to divide the problem into two. If your badge has disappeared, please ask Google for help. That is a different issue from the update.
