Categorías de los lugares

A la hora de crear un sitio en el mapa nos solicita una categoría para clasificar lo. El mundo del alpinismo está muy extendido como deporte y el uso de esta aplicación es crucial para localizar los picos, glaciares y con ello ver el pueblo más cercano o la carretera más próxima al lugar para poder acceder al monte. El problema viene cuando no hay referencias más que de los picos más famosos de cada lugar. Propongo poder crear esos lugares ( por ejemplo categoría: pico) a los que poder añadirle además las fotos tan bonitas que podamos sacar allí para que sirvan de referentes a los internautas.

Mountain Peak as a category does already exist on Maps.

Mountain peaks are a geographical Point of Interests (POI) on maps that belong to a category subset that is not available to Local Guides. Only certain Googlers can add or remove mountain peaks. In many cases, Google is dependent on (third-party) regional/ national partners to provide them with such data. You can usually see the name of this third party at bottom of your Google Maps on the same line as the copyrights. So if peaks in your area are missing, another approach is to ask them to update their base map.

What I like about your idea and this is a duplicate of an idea by @JanVanHaver is that there are types of places that would be great to have on maps that do not belong to the category subset Establishments, that we have currently access to as Local Guides.

Sport is a great theme. Besides famous surf waves or diving spots, I would like to see famous whitewater rapids for people that kayak or raft, official places to paraglide, climbing spots, etc.

Gracias por su respuesta. Desconocía que solo los empleados de Google pudieran añadir o eliminar esos puntos. Me parecía extraño que existieran pero a mí no me dejara crearlos. 

Siento si la idea ya está repetida, no llevo mucho por estos foros y no vi la aportación del compañero @JanVanHaver.

Espero que algún día podamos editar esos lugares para los amantes de la naturaleza y poder explotar los deportes con esta herramienta.
