ZINDAPIR MOSQUE

The Zindapir Mosque is an antiquity located in the Bagerhat district of Bangladesh. On the west side of Bagerhat Khan Jahan Ali Mazar, a road descends a little further, next to which is a domed mosque known as Zinda Pir’s Mazar.
Description: This one-domed medieval mosque is located in the north-west corner of the Zindapir shrine complex. There are four round towers around this mosque. The walls of the mosque are 1.52 m thick on average. There are three doors on the east wall and three arches on the west wall. 1 door on the north and south walls. The mosque has four eight-cornered minarets which are ring-rich. There are still some terracotta plaques on the mosque. The construction of the mosque and the image of burning on the walls do not give the identity of Khan-i-Jahani style. This mosque is later. It was built during the reign of Hussain Shah or his son Nusrat Shah.
There is disagreement over the real name of Zindapir. According to some historians, his name is Ahmad Kha. According to Mr. Omali, Ahmad Ali. According to A: F: M: Jalil, Syed Ahmad Shah alias Zindapir. There is a paved tomb on the north side of the tomb. Which is marked as the grave of the son of Zinda Pir.
The hemispherical dome of the broken roof was renovated in 2002.
