Yummy Mini Croissants with Chocolate Filling-Simple Recipe

Ingredients:

  • All-purpose flour-2 cups
  • Active Dry Yeast-1 Tbsp
  • Milk-Half cup
  • Butter-5 Tbsp
  • Sugar
  • Salt

Procedure:

  • Mix all the above ingredients and prepare a dough of it.
  • Keep the dough aside for at least one hour by covering the surface with thin plastic wrap.
  • Now divide the dough into equal number of pieces and roll each piece into circular shape.
  • Add butter on the surface of each piece and stack the pieces on top of each other, make sure butter is applied on every surface of the rolled piece.
  • Freeze the stacked dough for at least 15 minutes.
  • Now Once again flatten the stacked dough in circular shape, ~ 5mm thickness.
  • Cut the circular shaped dough in equal parts forming triangle shape.

  • Now stuff the triangle dough’s with milk chocolate (~2 small bars) and roll it up into croissant shapes.
  • Grease the baking try with sufficient butter and place the stuffed dough’s on it by leaving minimum of 2-inches between them.

  • Preheat the oven at 200 oC for 5 minutes, brush the mini croissants with milk and butter with sesame seeds and then bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until they turn to golden brown color.
  • It is best recommended to eat the mini croissants when they are freshly baked.

P.S: Prepared by my wife and she claim that the recipe is new, she reviewed many YouTube videos and food articles related to the preparation of croissants and came-up with this customised version.

Sometimes, I do the same! In other words, when I want to prepare something, I watch and read several recipes about the same thing and take something from each one of them. Most of the time, the result is perfect!

However, I’ve never prepared croissants in my life. I guess, here is something I should try this weekend!

Thanks for the comment @FalguniP The recipe is indeed easy, the only difficulty which my wife faced was during the stacking process. I hope you will like the croissants.

Unfortunately, I didn’t took the picture of the sweet melted chocolate dripping from the croissant when cut from the middle. Next time I will definitely click this picture and will share it @Ant_Bad_Yogi
