It’s been a while since I was completely immersed in the Local Guides program, specially after losing my job due to the pandemic & the imposed quarantines around the world. I was afraid of catching the virus but even more about getting sick and putting my family at risk, so I locked myself at home and waited for better times.
A few weeks ago I started to slowly get back to the thing I enjoyed the most as a Local Guide, sharing the good things in life: food, drinks & desserts. I got this notification today and it immediately lifted up my spirit, it was like a little pat in the back saying “Welcome home” after all this time.
I just wanted to congrat you on that and let you know that I will replace the screenshot with a cropped one, so you email address doesn’t appear. We do not recommend sharing such personal information here, since the forum is public. You can get familiar with our program rules on this link. Have in mind that you can always edit your post when needed, even when it’s already published, from the three dots. Here are some tips.
@Bobiisha@Oh dear, I’m so sorry. I was so excited about the news that I completely missed that my email was in there. Thank you so much for the help, I will be more careful next time
I fully understand your excitement. I just wanted to remind you to use the tagging tool when responding to someone. This way the other person gets a notification and is able to view your answer right away. You can do it by putting the symbol “@” in front of the nickname.
Congratulations on your amazing achievement @MarilynMooli . Like you, after being locked up for going on one year, it’s been a while since I’ve got back into full guiding. However, I have enjoyed spending more more time here on Connect engaging with fellow Local Guides in this global village. Once again well done on your amazing 10% achievement.
@AdamGT To be honest after we lost Google +, I just dedicated myself completely to Google Maps and forgot about Connect. So this is my first time connecting with everything going on here, I look forward to share more with the community.
And thank you! Feels good to be of help while doing what I enjoy.
