Flowers tell the story of the world we live in, and make it beautiful. Whether they are wild flowers that grow in the midst of nature, or cultivated flowers that embellish a garden, or cut flowers that decorate a table, their presence around us is constant.
Just as flowers tell the story of the world, so I, as a Local Guide, use them to tell my world through Google Maps.
This is a very special Botanical Garden, as it hosts plants that are generally only found at much higher altitudes.
Of course I also wanted to upload photos of the place to Google Maps, and I chose the two you find below. This way I help Maps users know what to expect when they visit the place.
Hello, dear @ErmesT The flower images you have shared are so beautiful. I am so happy to share a flower image taken by me in Nandanvan Jungle Safari, Nava Raipur, India and uploaded to Google Maps in April 2018.
Thank you for being the first to share your flowers with us, @PrasadVR .
They are indeed very beautiful .
Unfortunately on mobile the link to the photos doesn’t work, but please feel free to share with us the link to the location, so to admire the place, and to discover more flowers.
What an amazing garden, @Annaelisa . Thank you so much for sharing your photo.
11 months ago I visited TeamLab Planets in Tokyo (Japan). The provide some amazing multi-sensorial experience, and they also have an area where you walk through the orchids.
I provided some photo and videos attached to my review.
Hello and good morning @ErmesT and thank you for reviving this post for one more year! I enjoy scrolling through all the pages of flowers from previous years.
Today I’m sharing a photo that I snapped in September 2023 at the University of Pittsburgh. The subject of the photo is the Cathedral of Learning, a 1921 Gothic Revival skyscraper, but I wanted to capture some of Schenley Park that’s located across the street. So I squatted down in the field of blanket flowers and daisies and was able to frame the 535 foot tall building with wildflowers and blue skies.
in the Season of monsoon i Captured this stunning macro shot of a Purple Lotus adorned with delicate rain droplets, right at my workplace in Vadodara, Gujarat (India)
There’s something mesmerizing about the intricate beauty of nature that we often miss in our busy lives. The gentle drops of rain add a touch of magic, turning this simple moment into a piece of art.
These blooms remind me that even amidst the hustle, beauty and tranquility are always around us if we just take a moment to look closely.
Shot on my Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, this close-up is a reflection of the serenity that nature holds.
Please Drop a if this makes you feel connected to nature too.
This initiative is so refreshing @ErmesT ! Flowers truly add a colorful touch to our maps and bring joy to everyone. I’ll definitely be contributing my own flower photos soon. Thanks for organizing such a wonderful project!
