Yam and akidi

Mostly cooked in Igbo land. Yam prepared with the beans like vegetable known as cowpea in English and akidi in Igbo.

HOW TO PREPARE IT

1.Cut the cowpea to smaller size wash it and boil it with your yam till done.

2.Then separate the yam from the cowpea. Pound your pepper separately then add the cowpea to the pounded pepper and pound a little.

  1. Place an empty pot on fire, put red oil allow it to get hot then add your sliced Onion.

  2. Put the cowpea with the pepper into the oil then add maggi and salt to taste.

  3. Fry for 3min then add the yam and mix.

food is ready!
