Hi everyone! :waving_hand: I’m Captain Hook, a Level 9 Local Guide from Taiwan.

Today I want to share one of my favorite places in southern Taiwan — Whale Embankment in Kaohsiung.

Whale Embankment（鯨魚堤岸） is a peaceful waterfront promenade along Kaohsiung Harbor. It’s lined with luxury yachts, modern high-rises, and a touch of poetic calm that defines this port city.

It’s not just a photo spot — it’s a mood.

  • Come here around 5:30–6:30 PM for the best light

  • Walk along the embankment toward the Kaohsiung Music Center

  • Bring a coffee and take a seat — just watch the reflections move
