With my surprise, checking my contributions, I discovered that I had two approved edits for the same place, both related to “categories”. Both messages told me that my category change had been approved and that the category was “Point of Interest”
I do not have a message for these two edits, to inform me that my edits were approved. This make sense, because I didn’t made that edits, and Point of interest is not a category that we can add on Google Maps.
@AngieYC , can you please escalate this issue with the team?
Yes @ErmesT I’ve faced little different issue on Google maps app. I’ve edited category of one poi and it’s published successfully. But after few days when I checked that place is showing on wrong location. I’ve never edited Location of that place.
On your case, it is possible that someone else edited the position of the pin, while in my case I have on my edit listing the confirmation of the approval of two edits that I never made.
Well, again, this is not the same issue @KishorMali , and putting all together is not helpful.
If I understand correctly, you edited the opening hours of a POI only once (in one shot) and you received the feedback twice. How many email did you received about the edit?
In my case I didn’t made any edit (I just gave two information on the “uncover missing information”, and I received a confirmation about two approved edits
I know what you wrote in bold. What I am trying to say is to avoid to mix issues on a single thread, especially if the thread is not started by you.
What if tomorrow my issue is fixed and this post have a solution? Your issue will be lost.
I haven’t received twice a notification of an edit, as I sent two different answers to Maps. I received two wrong notification.
Regarding @NareshDarji issue, what I do when I read a post is trying not to interpreter, if possible. This is what Naresh wrote “But after few days when I checked that place is showing on wrong location. I’ve never edited Location of that place.” No mentions about the edit list
Where did you found this information on his reply? "But, when he try to recheck that place, it’s shows as the location changed**(edited) by him**.
You should calming down your fingers a bit @KishorMali . As @NareshDarji has been tagged several times, I do not think that he need someone to write on his behalf.
@ErmesT I have had a few instances where I did make category edits and then the notification said that I had suggested an edit to category ‘Point of interest’ and not the category that I had selected.
Not quite what you experienced, but perhaps related. This dates back to a couple of months ago, when I still was able to see my edits.
