When i was editing some places i have done some mistakes , how to undo that?

You can’t.

But keep an eye on it in your list of edits. If it gets approved, then change it back to the correct content. If it does not get approved you can forget about it.

If the edit is pending, you can suggest one more edit to correct that.

However, if the current information is correct and your edit tries to make that incorrect, there are two possibilities.

Please check whether other LGs are able to see your edit suggestion under the heading “check the facts”. Then you can request them to reject that.

If not, keep hoping that the automated evaluation process rejects that.

However, the situation will become dicey if the wrong edit is accepted. In my opinion, your attempt to correct that may correspond to spamming or manipulation to earn extra points.

Better request somebody else to suggest a re-edit.

I recently made an edit on map. The edit was not proper i.e. I made an error while submitting. Can I revoke my edit ?

PS- my edit is pending.

Thank you for asking. If the status of your edit is “pending”, you cannot modify or delete it. You have to wait for your edit being approved or rejected and after that you can suggest a new edit. For more information you can check out the article Suggest edits to a place or flag it for removal.

An identical query appeared here some days back. You can search for answers through the text box.

Nevertheless, the following would be suggestions.

  1. Original data is incorrect and your edit is also incorrect - you can make a fresh edit.

  2. Original data is correct but your edit was incorrect. Check whether the edit appears for verification in some other LG’s profile. Request that person to reject that.

If not so, hope the AI to reject that.

  1. If your incorrect edit gets approved somehow, please do not try to correct that yourself as that would constitute manipulation to earn points. Request somebody else to suggest a correction.
