Wrong boundaries of Pidriasne village (Lviv, Ukraine)

Hello Local Guides,

I’m writing this post to bring Google Moderators attention for fixing Pidriasne village (located near Lviv, Ukraine) boundaries.

I’ve opened this Google Maps Help Community post https://support.google.com/maps/thread/140464520/wrong-boundaries-of-pidriasne-village-lviv-ukraine?hl=en 5 days ago, but it is still ignored even though it was trending post for first 3 days.

Pidriasne village (Lviv Region, Ukraine) boundaries were extended almost five years ago, but Google Maps are still showing the old ones.
In addition to that, there is an overlap of neighbour Palanky village boundaries over new territory of Pidriasne.

Here you can see incorrectly highlighted boundaries of Palanky village:

And here are old boundaries of Pidriasne village:

Proofs of correct boundaries:

  2. This is an official map provided by Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine - https://atu.decentralization.gov.ua/

That’s a screen shot from above link to map. I highlighted correct(new) boundaries in violet.

  1. General plan of Pidriasne village in Ukrainian it’s Підрясне.

  2. The official master plan of Palanky village, in Ukrainian it’s Паланки.

This is an issue for people who live there as it makes a confusion for taxi/uber, it leads to delivery mistakes and many applications/sites are showing this area incorrectly (The weather forecast for instance).

Hope you can help me to fix this issue.

P.S. There is also a typo in the name of Pidriasne village, for some reason it is spelled with ‘y’ as Pidryasne on Google maps, however, it should be via ‘i’ according to Ukrainian-English transliteration rules.

Thank you for the help!

As I see Pidriasne boundaries have been fixed! Same for the name. I’m very happy now!

Could you please help me with one more issue, how can I add missing streets? For some reason I don’t see ‘add road’ option under edit map. If I go to neighbour country I see it, but when trying to add a street in Ukraine, I see message saying it is not available in my Region. Should I open new post here with all the details?

Hi @RomanPapka ,

Please have in mind that the option to add a road is available on Android and desktop and is limited to certain regions. You can find more information in this article.

Hi @Bobiisha ,

Yes, I know that, I’ve tried from Desktop and it’s the same. Looks like it is not available for Ukraine.

Anyways, I’m working on drawing some streets using My Maps and going to share it in my next post.

Could you please suggest me what kind of proofs Google needs to add/correct streets?
