World's 2nd largest Salt Mines (Khewra Pakistan)

I was anxious to know how the salt is found in nature that we eat daily in our food. This curiosity tempt me to travel this novel place. when I discuss with family my wife was kids become excited to visit Khewra Salt mines. As the final exams of kids finished and they got very goo position in their classes after getting results they become ready to go khewra salt mines. It took 3 hours from my home Toba Tek Singh to reach there. we use asian highway 1 or M2 to reach there.

I thought salt was harvested by evaporating saltwater in huge basins.

Thank you very much, its really and amazing place to visit. it was discovered 326 BC and it’s about 300 KM long.

yeah I have pics

it’s a mine under mountains known as Kohistan Namak (Kohistan Salt)

it was discovered 326BC and its 300KM long

this under rocks and also called as rock salt in world this salt is known as Himalayan salt (Pink Salt)

In 2020 #Pakistan is #1 tourism destination
