Hello, My name is Tracy and I am a Wwoofing Host now for over 11 years!
Many people travel to New Zealand and some do not know about this option called Wwoofing. The website to find out more to join is: https://wwoof.nz/ I have hosted not only travelers, but even local people who have immigrated in the past from another country or some who have moved or relocated to Christchurch from somewhere else hoping to get to know the area and people.
I love being a Local Guide on Google because it offers a wide platform where people can connect and receive first hand word-of-mouth information from a person who truly knows and has experiences to share. My focus is not to promote wwoofing, but merely to mention this option and share my experiences as a Host. I am a New Zealand Citizen and am raising 2 lovely Kiwi kids who are over the age of 10. I found wwoofing to be a fantastic way to “adopt” a family, learn about other cultures and to share experiences and skills in a mutual relationship. Life is about learning, sharing and relationship. I can’t think of a better way to experience life to the fullest than to be able to be a Local Guide on Google.
I have worked in the IT industry, Security, plus a few others and have many hobbies such as dancing, photography with a love of nature and birds, with experiences in New Zealand and a focus on Christchurch, which I love to share with those who are interested. I love to give a review on various places in and around the city and to include the quirky little tips to assist those who are new so that they have a bit of “inside” information. I try to answer as many questions as I can to provide assistance to those who ask. Feel free to have a look thru my pictures as a Wwoofing Host and ask me anything you like. I have lived thru the Christchurch Earthquakes and I am a volunteer with St. John Ambulance. I love the outdoors lifestyle and the beauty that New Zealand offers. I look forward to connecting with you!
