Wondering how self-catering rules are enforced

Hi folks,

Just a random query. I’ve noticed that Google seems somewhat inconsistent in what self-catering properties it allows to list as a business and appear on Google maps.

Currently, Google states that (for some reason) self-catering properties are not permitted to list as a business, even though they are a business. It seems to remove some listings and let others remain.

Does anyone know why this is so inconsistent?

Hi @CalY I’m not sure what you mean by self catering business?

Essentially any business that has a regular place of business with regular opening hours that customers can visit and has a suitable category is able to be listed on Maps.
