Can you tell us a little about yourself and your journey as a Local Guide?
[Supriya]: I am writter,poet and recipe maker. Few years back I was working with Cummins India limited. Then I gave resignation for some family reason. After that I felt very lonely at home so I am started searching any opportunity to contribute online. While searching I found Google maps. I started posting photographs on Google map. Then I understood about reviews and started writing reviews on Google maps. Then I got an email from Local guides connect and I started posting some recipes on connect.
Last year when I join first meet up where I understand clearly what is the use of local guide connect. What kind of matter we need to post on connect which is useful for people and then I started again my journey with connect energetically.
What inspires you to be a Local Guide?
[Supriya]: As per my thinking local guide is a person who is connected with everyone around the world. A Local Guide thinks worldwide. In maps I like to post reviews of places which helps people very much when they don’t know that place. People feel comfortable after reading our reviews about that place.
What’s your favorite feature of Google Maps?
[Supriya]: Google maps all features are helpful where you can get information about places, you can add new places or update it.you can find road options which is easy to understand.
What message would you give to other Women Local Guides or anyone considering joining our Local Guides program ?
[Supriya]: Start thinking about problems which you face day to day life while travelling and focus on that problems to find solution so that you can help other people also.
