Today We, Nepalese are celebrating year 2077 BS. Our calendar is totally different from other country . We have unique ,beautiful and different name of week,months and year that make our date different from foreigner country. Due to lock down,we are celebrating our new year from home.
I want to share my happiness and new year to all of you.
Its 1st of Baisakh here in Nepal, this is our local New Year. So, you want to know which year we are in?? We are currently celebrating year 2077B.S(Bikram Sambat). Yes, thats about 57 years more than normal AD date. And that’s not all. As Nepal is a multi-ethnic country, the people of different culture and ethnicity has their different New Year. For eg the natives of Kathmandu valley, Newari people celebrate their cultural New Year around in the month of October. They call it as Nepal Sambat and it currently dates to 1140. Many Buddhists people of the country celebrate Chinese New Year too. So, there is so much diversity here in Nepal. So, it is one of the famous cultural destinations in the world. But we have love and respect for each and every culture of our people. There are no fights in the name of religion and culture here.
And we are happy to celebrate this new year from our home during this lockdown. We hope all the issues the world is going through will be ended soon. It would have been wonderful time for all the Local Guides in Nepal to visit new places, try out new restaurants or other entertainments and post many new reviews but we know how time is now and we are more than happy just to celebrate it here from our home.
So, I would really like to send my wishes of this new year to all of my friends here in Google Maps Community. HAPPY NEPALI NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL .
