Welcome to Connect and thank hank you for your post, @Rahul_Madhyastha .
In fact this seems to be a massive attack
Of course everyone of us have the possibility, knowing the real situation of a road, to deny the closure status, but there is no warranty that it works.
A road closure can be reported
- by an official partner (a local government officer) through a specific procedure, or by users, like it appears on the screenshot shared here.
- by suggesting an edit (that seems to be the method used here)
- by reporting the closure while driving, with Google Maps on navigation mode
As this seems to be an attack, and all the reports that I checked where confirmed just 4 minutes ago, I will escalate it immediately to @MoniDi , to quickly reach the Google Maps team for fixing the issue and identifying the people behind this action.
Hope it will be fixed quickly
Thank you again for your report
