Whhhhyyy do I spend so much time on Google Local Guides? Simple. I love my city.
Columbus, Ohio is not usually on people’s list of “must visit” but we SHOULD BE! Google Local Guides gives me a chance to share why we are a must visit. From our food scene to the culture, we really do have it all. My favorite posts are restaurant reviews. Nothing shows the culture of a city more than their food scene. Growing up in the heartland of central Ohio, I would watch Food Network and dream of visiting all the restaurants they were featuring. The food was beautiful, the review were stellar. And 10 year old me was missing out.
Fast forward to today and I am living my dream. I am taking clients out to the NEWEST and BEST restaurants that are moving into my hometown. I am admiring the decor, the food, and the energy. And best of all? Now I am the one getting to take those pictures and videos of the food, sharing my thoughts, and interacting with the business.
I no longer watch Food Network and wish I could be the one reviewing those restaurants. With Google Local Guides, I am the one posting. I am the one who is reviewing. I am the one who is helping others discover my city. Google Local Guides has given me the platform I once dreamed about. There is really nothing more exciting to me than sharing food. Seeing the number of views, the comments from the businesses, and the likes from others viewing makes me feel excited and energized about MY hometown!
