Why it is important keeping update local maps?

Hello everyone,

This topic is about why we -local guides- would like to share on Google Maps. First of all;

It is important to add/edit/update places on the Google Maps, sometimes it is hard to find a point in a crowded place, but if you have your Google Maps in your hands it gets easier. Even if you are offline!

Secondly It feels like you are drawing the maps by yourself. It is quite good feeling that something you create or you contribute to a creation.

Last but not the least one is living as a woman like me, hard to deal with some difficulties in some countries. In the midnght you might be on the roads and there is noone to ask roads or places. If I have Google Maps It is not that hard being on the streets, anytime anywhere.
