Why is my food photos not showing up :(

Hi I’ve got 2 main questions about posting photos based on Google Map location:

  1. I’ve recently uploaded several photos (a mixture of food & store front photos) of a restaurant on Google Maps. [search location on maps > view photos > add a photo] Those photos were taken recently and when I search the location and click on the “latest photo tab”, I can only view my photos of the store front but NOT the food photos (which essentially are the main photos that I want to showcase). What can I do to make the food photos appear on maps?

  2. I’ve recently edited some old photos and uploaded them on G Maps. The thing is Maps sorted them based on the time that they were taken instead of uploaded. Is there a way for me to upload old photos and make them appear in the “latest” tab?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi @kopiandmilktea !

  1. Sometimes you have to wait for the photos to always be visible in the contributions. If you don’t see them appear in a couple of days, then maybe something went wrong at the time of upload. Have you also tried to look for them, if available, in the “Dishes” tab of the restaurant photos?

  2. When you take a picture with a smartphone or a camera, data is printed on all the characteristics of the photos (focal length, image size, ISO, position … and also data relating to the shooting date and time) . More infos about Exif data
    You can modify this data with special software, and changing the old date with today’s one you should be able to see your photos in the “latest” tab.

Hi David, thanks for taking time out to reply! Anyway, I did wait for a few days before checking if the food photos appear at the “latest” tab but unfortunately, they didn’t pop out even after several days :frowning:
