But it can not be true that all that I have added in the last 3-4 weeks is not appliable. I have supplied name, street adress, email, website, opening hours if I know it and often pictures of the place.
Earlier I could have been waiting up to 1 week for newly added places to be applied or not but now it happens in 5-10 seconds that my entry has been rejected. Is that really right? I know Googles servers are fast but this is ridiculous fast.
The picture below is from me just now trying to add a church for the third time this week. All information is supplied in the form and litteraly 15 seconds later the addition is rejected.
Why even bother to add places if this continues??
Hi @arshuspeaks in addition to the information provided by @Shirley Local Guides can report a missing road (via Send Feedback) and can add segments to an existing road but cannot directly add a missing road. Refer to this support article for guidance.
Can you check on your computer if you’re seeing the same numbers?
Usually, it takes some time for your contributions and badges to synchronise. It’s best to keep your Google Maps application up-to-date, to ensure that all information is updated.
I am trying to add a Location in Maps through Add missing place i.e Toll Both for a Road.
I am Level 8 Google Local guide and i have added new locations before.
in this case when i create, add details and submit, immediately it shows “Not Applied” and i have tried several times and it immediately shows “Not Applied”.
I am adding any duplicate place but trying to add a genuine Place, which i feel wrong from Google maps. they should either provide me explanation for not applying the new place or allow the missing location to be added.
I am adding a genuine mising location but even before it is going to pending it is directly showing as “Not Applied”.
I have tried more than 10times but failed 10times. all the information is right Choosing location in in maps everything is right but it gets directly “Not Applied”. i need solution to this.
@DeniGu thanks for your thorough explanation but what I will suggest to your team is that you should give some of us who have managed to reach level 8 and above and residing in areas with no or very few local guides to serve as corroborators, the benefit of the doubt and approve our edits. Things are fast changing on the grounds, most of which google team is not much abreast with, so voluntarily updating the map with current situation and only to be prompted " not applied" is very discouraging. Your review criteria should have some exemptions and considerations for higher badged local guides in remote areas. Thanks
“If your edit is Not Applied, that means we were unable to confidently verify the information you shared at this time.”
Is it possible for a “reference” feature to be added to the information that is requested when attempting to add a place in Google Maps? The URL for a website (or websites, social media, etc.) could be added/pasted so fellow Local Guides, Google, or an automated system can go to that website(s) to verify the accuracy of the information that has been input? It could potentially speed up the approval process. Also, when an addition is “Pending”, is it possible to receive feedback as to what additional information is needed in order to convert “pending” to “approved” or “not applied”?
