Hello!
I have been living in San Borja, in Lima, Peru since 1995, and when I moved with my family, San Borja was a residencial neighborhood, today is a great district, grew in an extraordinary way and now has everything!
San Borja is one of the few ecological districts of Lima, has large areas of parks and gardens, along San Borja Norte and San Borja Sur avenues we can see a huge amount of trees, and in its streets we find small and large parks, some named like a country, and they are hidden gems, like the China Park (Jiron Romero Hidalgo), where we find a replica of a Pagoda and trees brought from China, it´s really beautiful!
We also found a large amount of Chinese, Japanese and Korean migration, who choose San Borja because of its location to put and open their businesses on Avenida Aviacion and Avenida San Luis, main avenues of the city, where a large number of restaurants are located, the Chifas (Mix of Chinese and Peruvian Food) are the main protagonists and most visited by the neighbors and people who visit the district. In turn, in a few years a lot of Japanese restaurants opened and they won the preference of the public, one of them is the Yakitori (Avenida Aviacion 2854) where they serve delicious Rolls with nikkei touches, a hot miso ramen, some delicious gyozas and a Juicy chicken teriyaki, among other delicacies, and for dessert, a place that is in front of my apartment! The most delicious desserts that I have tasted in recent years, are found in the Yogashi Patisserie (Avenida San Borja Norte 598) flavors of Japanese delicacies that will make them repeat one dessert and another.
And if you want to look for healthy food, you will find a supermarket of organic products called Flora y Fauna (Avenida Aviacion 3110) an option for vegans, vegetarians and who maintain a healthy life.
I like to share a lot my district, give opinions and share photos, also add new stores so the people can locate and know a little more, so they can reach the destination they choose.
And that is why I like San Borja, I move every day through its streets and avenues, I like to place information about the parks, with inclusive access for all, bought in the district’s premises, from the small premises to the shopping centers, also eat in the restaurants that are in the district and discover new shops to recommend on the map and more people visit them.
If you visit Lima, do not forget to visit San Borja, you can arrive by bus on Javier Prado Avenue or also by the Metro of Lima, and discover a green place in the city.
