Hello deal Local Guides are leaving in Madrid or like to go there or had a pleasant experience to have a nice accommodation in Madrid, I need your advice. We are planning to go in Madrid for one week at the end of September. I am looking for a place for two adults with private bathroom and may be, but not necessary, with little kitchenette. We have been there two years ago, had an apartment in very good location, but the place itself was not maintained well, so I am trying to avoid the issue again. Any advice or some direct links would be very appreciated. I checked many Madrid related posts, thanks a lot @JesusCV , @jorge luisa , @lizhuang for your shared information. We have to stay somewhere within the central area, or in walking distance to yellow or green line of subway station. Here is the map when we would like to explore the city.
Hey @CaterinaOS , Madrid is a nice city, I was there 4 months ago and it was great. My sister lives there and I wasn’t in the hotel or apartment, but I can recommend you places that I found. Please check this link and you will find them.
Instead of place to stay, I want to share with you nice places where you can find really good food The first place is Oven Mozzarella Bar, located close to the Estación del Arte subway station and the Madrid Atocha Railway Station. Great choice for a dinner or lunch, amazing food and the staff there made us feel very welcome.
Another good option is Garden of Salvador Bachiller. The restaurant is hidden inside a department store and to get to the it, we had to ride the elevator to the top floor, where we arrived directly to a secret garden. The menu was varied and everything we tried was delicious.
The last one is La Berenjena, quite small but offered different food choices—from French to Asian cuisine. We found it thanks to the Explore tab on Google Maps. We had a great experience there.
During my stay, I took a short trip to one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever been to—Segovia. Located an hour drive to the north of Madrid, Segovia is very easy to get to. We went by car and spent just a day there, but there’s a number of other transportation options, including trains, buses, and group tours. More adventurous visitors can even try the hot-air balloon ride to Segovia from Madrid.
If you get the chance to visit this city and only have one day, here in this post are my top three places and things to enjoy there.
I hope that these information will help you and have a great experience in Madrid. Please don’t forget to share with us afterwards.
@Ivi_Ge thank you for your suggestions and for detailed reply. We are planning to visit Toledo, we have been there with a tour and then by ourselves once, but if time allows we will go again. Thank you for sharing post about Segovia, we have been there for three hour only and did not have a chance to explore much, we will see how it will go this time. I am sure we will try to visit Garden of Salvador Bachiller, as you said “the restaurant is hidden inside a department store”, we had missed it.
@CaterinaOS смотрите, как удобнее, мне понравилось, со скидкой понравилось бы еще больше. Удобно, что можно искать жилье прямо в дороге, на одну ночь мы так бронировали хостел, сегодня на завтра.
@Ivi_Ge we are in the planing mode now and suddenly found out on Google map that Naval Museum in Madrid is permanently closed, very sad… may I ask you please to confirm it with your sister if it is possible. Thank you in advance.
