A wonderfull Challange by @shaileno about #temple Architecture here is one of beautifull temple in konkan region
The Waghjai Bhawani Goddess Temple is beautifully designed with grand architecture. The temple houses a large and magnificent statue of Goddess Bhawani, standing approximately 8 to 9 feet tall. This intricately crafted idol radiates positive energy and spiritual calm.
In addition to the main idol, the temple also includes statues of other goddesses, each exquisitely sculpted. According to information shared by the local villagers, there is a Kulswamini (family deity) idol placed in an underground chamber. Interestingly, this idol is brought out only once for a special pooja (ritual) and is then respectfully returned to its underground sanctum a unique and sacred tradition of this temple. The temple is not only stunning inside but also beautifully maintained on the outside. It attracts devotees from across the district who come to seek blessings and experience the divine atmosphere. The garden and the outer pathway of the temple are spacious and well-kept by the temple trust. A wide variety of plants and flowering shrubs add natural charm to the surroundings, enhancing the overall serenity of the temple premises.
The temple’s location is in terav chiplun taluka. It is noted that Shri Rajai Ali built two temples during the years 1490-1512. The first gateway (entrance arch) of this temple was built in the year 1839. The temple suffered wear and tear post renovation around 1839, and further restoration was needed. To this end, in 2002, the entire village came together to restore the temple of Bhavani Waghjai Devi, where the consideration was that the temple must be called Shri Bhawani Waghjai Devi Temple. So, the ‘Kulswamini Shri Bhawani Waghjai Renovation Trust’ was formed, and the temple was decided to be built on this trust’s name. The temple was inaugurated on 08/05/2011. The temple comprises of beautiful decorations, walled off sacred space, sacred lamps, vigilant lamps of everlasting light, fortifications, complex figures of animals, instructional slabs, and protective railings among many others.
