We were very much bored in typical corporate life. Life with colleagues needed something more. So we planned to enjoy a holiday. But the day we planned for, that’s weather was forcasting with highly thundered and rain. At the 11th hour the day company declared the day as general means not a holiday. At last somehow we managed our CEO and she gave us a chance to enjoy the day.
We were 8 in total. 6 colleague and 2 colleagues wife. And one of colleague was female. So we were 5 male and 3 female. By the way, we planned for tour but nothing was planned. We choosed couple of places that was so remote and no satisfactory review was available there. Matter of point that our manager is also a big fan of LGs and also contributes on Maps. We plannned that we should travel and make move place in the light by providing review and great photos.
We first started at 10 of night. We gathered at Shafipur Bazar, Gazipur. We picked a bus to go Joydebpur train station that reached Chourasta at 11 of night. We picked Leguna (A small engined open vehicle like covered van). As we were unplanned, our small team was divided into two buses and two Legunas. Anyway we found others after 30 minutes from we reach the station. That time was very memorable, we started gossiping with one another, making fun, and little little plan was coming from our tired fertile brains. Ha ha ha.
We picked train at 1 of night. The train was 10 minutes late (Not a big matter in Bangladesh). We climbed the train from very low land because our compartment was far from the platform that was equivalent with train. We took some dry foods and fruits with us. I started to eat from my part first and caught by others.
We reached Satkahon at 4:30 of dawn. We resurved two Auto (like engined rikshaw(3 wheeler),but more seats than it) vehicle. First of all, we acknowledged after one hour that, our 2 of 2 drivers do not know the places at all. They were supposed to give us a big bluff. Anyway we have Google Maps and we had network in phones. We started and saw that there was a river on our way. And again drivers were saying that they know everything now, we again believed and again bluffed.
After that we almost after 10 minutes interval got any bridge and pushed the vehicles. Full path was filled with rain water. Thunder was fushing over heads. Life was in our hands. We pushed and pushed but the path was not ending. We was totally fed up. When we reach at the bank of that Someshori river, we found there is no bridges over it. We are good people (ha ha ha) so we quarrel a little with them and after that gave them more money than they deserve. From now our advanture started…
We picked a boat, after train it was our another vehicle that was common for full team. We managed a full tour that was totally unmanaged. Anyway when we took rikshaw again another part of us divided into two parts. And most funny of matter that we started for same spot and reached 2 of 3 in same spot and another one in another spot. It was the white clay hill. With green and blue water in the Birishiri lake. Then we altered our spots and went togather in the third place. It was a border between India and Bangladesh. Our side is Bijoypur and India’s Meghalaya. We took bath on Someshwari river. Took a refreashing ride on a hand pushing boat by a female person. We saw some tribe girls were taking bath and making fun. We bought some chocolates, candies, soaps from border tiny van shop(a shop that moves on a van).
This travel we made by heart, not with plan, not under tuff managing. Weather was fully tring to stop us. We were fed up in the begging but after a certain period of time, we were determind that say what is coming, lets see it, overcome it, find out the way, so that next time no one will be in dark of fear in this way. It is a great feelings to me and to our Local Guide community when we discover a new place and share the experience of the joy.
