What's the most interesting thing i've done as a Local Guide - searching free parking in Bali

Hi, my name is Mikhail, I have Level 5 Local Guide and I am from Russia. The most interesting thing that I have done as a local guide recently is to add about 300 photos to Google maps during my trip to Southeast Asia for 1.5 months.

My photos have been viewed 18 430 times and it is cool. I took pictures of local attractions, hostels and hotels where I stayed, cafes and food, where I ate. And it’s really cool that with the Local Guide I can see what awaits me in the place where I’m going. And also add some of your notes and photos to places that impressed me.

Many times reviews from other people helped me, I looked at the photos and realized that I like it and I will definitely go there.

And it is very cool that we have such an opportunity. Thanks Local Guides!

And now a little story. In mid-February, my wife and I were in Bali. We rented a car. But we did not yet know that all parking lots near tourist places were paid. And so, we come to Kuta beach, and local guys tell us that we have to pay. We refuse, get in the car, open Google maps and start the search. As a result, thanks to feedback from local experts, after 10 minutes we were parked in a free parking lot.

That’s all! Thanks again for this opportunity to find everything that can be found all over the world!

Hey @MikhailOgorodov ,

It looks like this is your application post for Connect Live 2020, so I will move it to the Local Stories section which is the right place for this type of posts. Here you can find everything you need to know about writing a post for your Connect Live 2020 application. If you think you are missing some of the points mentioned, you can always edit the post and add them.

Have in mind that I will also remove the Russian tag, as this type of tag should reflect the language in which the post is written. In this case-English.
