I didn’t intend to become a Local Guide at first.
What I enjoy doing is helping people through technology, whether that’s helping someone with their new smartphone, setting up a wifi network or guiding others on the choice of technology that can improve their lives. Being a Local Guide is an extension of that and I particularly enjoy making sure that business details are accurate and complete so that we can all find what we’re looking for easily and quickly. When I have personal experience with a business, I post a review so others (and the business itself) can get a sense of that experience.
Over time as my experience with the Local Guide program has grown, so has my enthusiasm for local business and how they help to define and support my community. And, when I visit a new community I know I can rely on Local Guides to help me navigate and discover places I may have not otherwise known. It’s a great feeling to know my reviews and fact checking can help others in the same way.
