I’m new on this site but have lived in Bartlesville for 20-plus years and there used to be stuff for teenagers to do but now I have a 16 year old and there is absolutely nothing for her to go out and do what is something safe and fun that teenagers like to do in this town besides bowl or hang out in Walmart parking lot? We need a skating rink!

Hey there I’m Willie and I live in Bartlesville, and I absolutely agree. There used to be a skating rink in between Bartlesville and Dewey but it was closed years ago. And yes there really isn’t much for teenagers to do in Bartlesville except what you mentioned, which leads to young men and women getting themselves into the wrong crowd and getting into trouble. I’ve always found the pathfinder to be very peaceful and soothing to my soul. But not everyone is in tune with nature as I am. But it’s worth a shot if you have never walked the pathfinder. Just be sure and bring plenty of water and bug spray if you plan on walking it as an all day excursion. There is a skating rink in coffeyville if you are up for a little trip. Also some fun activities for teenagers that are available are softball, soccer, boys and girls club operates year round and could always use older teens to help with the younger children. Also have 4h club rodeo cicuit a few of my nieces stay very busy barrel racing and I have noticed that the group’s of people that are around most rodeo or barrel racing events tend to be decent people that I don’t mind my daughter’s associating with. There is usually something going on every weekend for my family to do But I have quite alot of family around the area. I guess if you like going to church that could be a way to meet people and start opening up opportunities of fun and exciting events that not all people know about. Hope this info is helpful.
