What does the Local Guides program mean to you?
Hi Local guides,
My name is Oluwatosin ('Tosin), I’m a level 7 local guide and I live in Lekki in Lagos, Nigeria.
I love to capture beautiful scenery when I get to stay out of normal day to day works and I love to think of the ideas flowing through the minds of the designers or architect of such structures. Most importantly in recent time, I have seen the reason to help others through what I know and where I have been to, helping others make the right decisions and locate services at the slightest opportunity. This I believe is what this program is meant for in a bid to make the World a better place. So I like to take picture with some additional information that may support people in need of them.
Google local guide program to me means many positive things among which are the fulfillment I get when I see my few reviews, comments and pictures shared helping someone to make the right decision, avoid grid locks, locate that get away place for his or her holidays, etc. Also to me it typifies the beauty of human nature when we leverage on technology to help each other and make the world a better place. Noteworthy is the fact that these acts of ‘random’ kindness also come with some perks from google guide program which rewards local guides with a world class get together at a dream location such as the Connect Live 2020.
In summary the local guide program to me mean fun, service, fulfillment, opportunity and reward.
