@MoniV You can post photos of the place with different angle so people can get clear idea about that place…
@MoniV Thanks For Share This Tips.
hi GM @MoniV , my self ravi jung from NEPAl. i am confused by my area multiple purpose building many office or shop. this building photo shut different office or shop in this building photos add GM why against GM rules & policies…?? one photo many office or shop in multipurpose building…
@MoniV Really appreciating the guidelines for more useful qualitative photos. But i have a problem when sharing the photos of Bus Stops in our areas which are really useful with Bus Routes, Location etc.The problem is that all the Bus Stops were being sponsored by Advertisements for Private Agencies. So when sharing photos this advertisements were displayed and hence made the photos private.

Hi @jojo522 ,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Photos that do not adhere to Maps User Contributed Content Policy will be made private and are only visible to you.
Muy interesante conocer que debemos publicar
Noticed that in some cases for new add names the photos were not displayed as the main head photo on the top… For eg. as shown below opened a new name Hair Salon with photo but the photo was not displayed as main head although shown seperate.

Sure, a really good advice for all local guide. To be followed…
there should definitely be a SELFIE BLOCK once uploading photos to Maps… I see huge amount of those and reporting that something wrong usually ends in no result…
@KseniaM Totally agree 100%, there are too many guides who just leave a comment at a certain place, whether they are there is even dubious, just to post a selfie!
@MoniV sometimes when making a review you post photos, but 2 or 3 days after the photos you shared are in the Share your photos in google maps, what to do post them again or not,
Hi @karinchavoll ,
Thanks for reaching out.
I am so sorry, but I couldn’t understand your question. Can you please add details and share a screenshot, so I can be able to help you.
This post is definitely helpful and should be posted on platforms like the Facebook group. Recently had to report a person posting multiple photos of a business’ glasses and salt and pepper shakers.
@MoniV very good tips! I always try to produce quality in Google Maps… so every time I check my profile I feel the pride in what I am doing. Thanks for sharing this post!
I highly appreciate this guide.
It’s a good insight on an efficient way local guides share useful and good photos that can help our community understand and see images of a place that are helpful to them.
Very useful information @MoniV
Hi @MoniV . I read this post and I understood what’s the important meaning. I would like to say that my profile may has mistakes about photos ( duplicate ) for example and so other LGs !. Please make sure those mistakes done not intentional . My start to contribute was learning and studying. Now we are experts after we passed levels of contributions. That’s mean never to do mistakes again.
Isn’t there any forgiveness ?
I’ve uploaded thousands of photos and it’s difficult to go back to navigate for the ( duplicate ) for example.
In addition, this post I think is little bit late to be posted ! ( 2019 ) the LGs program started back in 2017. Shouldn’t this post posted back in 2017 when the LGs program started ? To be aware for the rules.
Just a View Point.
Thanks.
Hi @OSAMA_1 ,
Thanks for reaching out to us and for your feedback.
This post was made to help Local Guides understand what should be the photos that they upload to Google Maps. But please keep in mind that the Local Guides rules and the Maps User Contributed Content Policy were written in public since the beginning of Local Guides Connect and Google Maps. The aim of my post was to make it easier for the Local Guides.
As written in the post:
"Do you think you may have shared photos on Google Maps that go against our guidelines, rules, and policies?Go through your photo contributions, remove any photos and videos that may be considered irrelevant or spam, and help others easily find useful information. Remember if you delete your photos and videos or if they are removed by our team, your Local Guides points for those contributions will also be removed."
I would suggest you to go through your contributions and remove all the contributions that are against our policies.
Hi again @MoniV I understand , Will I please recommend a new feature on the Map ? Which is kinda alerts ! . And the limit of the violations ? If there a clear regulations let us know not to exceed the numbers of violations like a notification alert like those in YouTube, FB, Snapchat …etc ) would be better to us as a LGs. What teasing me is , when we spend a years contributing to Google map , and we hardly get unlock levels slowly , why LGs be removed from the program at once and easily without any notification alerts? I believe this feature will be great on the map . It is like a notification to be aware , and it will give us as a LGs a chance. Even if we read the Rules, receiving alerts is more important to us and to the Map users.
Very Respectfully.
