What Local Guides program means to me: Photography skills, find confidence, healthy competition

Local Guides is a global community of explorers who write reviews, share photos, answer questions, add or edit places, and check facts on Google Maps. Millions of people rely on contributions like yours to decide where to go and what to do.

The Local Guides program has a very strong impact on my life. To me, being a local guide means amplifying my photography skills, being an introvert to extrovert person, find confidence in myself, is all about friendship and the most significant thing is a healthy competition.

I am a local guide at level 7 and I think this is a heroic achievement. I am a local guide for the last 3 years, but on connect from the last 2 years. I joined the Connect community that gives me a chance to connect globally with fellow guides and Googlers.

The local guide program changed my life to be an introvert to extrovert. Through my involvement, I made many friends in my city, state, and country as well. This program gives me wings to get digitalized. By joining community forums, different groups at the local, state, and national levels, it boosts my confidence to another level, by talking to new people, new local guides. This program teaches me how friendship is true.

Being a computer student, my passion is photography and traveling. By this program, now I can post my photos and share my skills around the globe.

I can share my views, new ideas, what I think that this new feature should be added to Maps on Connect Forum. By all this, it creates a healthy competition among guides, and through meetups, we learn from each other a lot. And recently, I got a chance to attend India’s 1st ever VIRTUAL MEETUP.

I also feel proud that I am the top 1% local guide of Vadodara for the last 2 years. Feeling overwhelmed Google  Thank You.

HAPPY TO HELP.

Hi @Kunjan811 ,

Local Guides should not use any official Google branding including the new Google Maps icon or the Local Guides pin and logo. If you would like to promote the Local Guide program, you are welcome to use these approved assets.

Please make sure you use only your own images and words and follow the original content guidelines on Connect. Please feel free to edit your post by following these steps Edit your post - why and how to to replace your photo with the Local Guides logo.

Thank You so much, ma’am, but I haven’t used logos for any kind of branding. It’s just a part of my post, and In my post, I haven’t written a single line that sounds like I am promoting. I wrote only on “What Local Guide Program Means to Me”. But still, It may be violating rules, I can change pictures.

Thank you for your guidance. :slightly_smiling_face:

hi @KatyaL

I put that photo for my content, what I want to say. Not for promotion and I think you should give permission to all. I haven’t written a single line about any kind of promotion. Then why my post is being archived?
