What Local Guides Program means to me: A home away from home

Hello everyone,

I have discovered the local guides program through a friend of mine who went the US to attend the Local Guides program in 2019, and who is a consistent contributor to the platform. She made me discover a whole new community of dedicated and aspired people, who like to contribute to this community to make it better in every way possible.

I have thus started contributing from my side as well. Every time Google asks me how was X place, or when I write a review and Google asks me to ‘contribute more’, I start contributing as much as I can, and end up writing all my reviews in bulk.

I have recently moved to Paris in Feb 2020, therefore I have a whole new world of contributions to do. However, Local guides and Google maps are helping find a home away from my home. I am using Google maps to find all the best Lebanese food out there in Paris (and trust me, there are more places than I ever imagined!), which makes my living abroad experience a whole lot smoother and better.
