Hey, hello, how are you?
I hope well, a colleague from the state of Xicotepec de Juarez greets you, and I am pleased to share with you a bit of my experience in the city of Xicotepec de Juarez.
First of all let me tell you what the name “Xicotepec” means, it is actually in the native language of the Nahuatl region, and it means “Cerro de Abejorros” this site is located in the north of the state of Puebla, it is widely recognized for its excellence in coffee since it was formerly one of its main sources of wealth and culture and which to this day continues to be recognized.
It has several places to visit, hotels, parks, museums, regional food, and places to drink coffee and they have the largest known monument of the Virgin of Guadalupe, but I want to share with you their most recent tourist attraction, The Heavenly Cross.
For those who like challenges this is a great challenge, you have to overcome approximately 700 steps, the more you climb the more the view towards the town is appreciated, I really believed that it would not be so difficult, but if it is very exhausting to climb so many steps, You must go with comfortable clothes, luckily before reaching the top you find people who have already returned and come down very excited, you can take water, it is very important but if you do not take you can also buy in the place there are sellers ready to sell you water and incidentally offer you some regional craving or crafts of the region, there are toilets and police security, you feel safe !.
When I got to the top I said, hey ! the view from up here is incredible, it’s fascinating! I was able to admire the cross up close and contemplate the majesty of its composition and it is made of glass, and in front, they have a viewpoint where their platform is made of glass, now I know that I must try to go more often to admire the town from above.
For me being a local guide in my region has had significant participation in my life since I met the program, for me it means a great friendship with the other local guides around the world, a great global team full of restless people to explore the world and contribute through their experiences such as the places that at some point will be explored by new people who have no idea what awaits them.
On the journey of my life, you always meet people from afar and people from near who come to you and ask you about someplace or direction, sometimes we do not know how to respond accurately and this type of situation motivates me to be part of this great community helping other people find what they are looking for.
I appreciate your time in seeing this extraordinary experience, thanks for reading. Fondly.
