Hi everyone! My name is Olga. I’m a music manager from Moscow, Russia. Recently all my friends moved to places all around the world and as a restless adventurer I set up a goal to visit all of them. I like to travel alone and take pictures for myself just to feed off my nostalgia, almost never posting something. Funny enough I don’t like being socially active with strangers, even on the internet. But Google Local Guides provided me with a solution, an opportunity to finally express myself about my journeys, discoveries and favorite places.
Sometimes Google was asking me, what do I think about whatsoever place, while Google Photos insistently and tirelessly collected my files. At first I thought that nobody will find my photos and stories interesting and even if they do (here goes social distress), it won’t give me the feeling of communication and therefore satisfaction and I will be responsible to post better, bigger and more often. And then, something magical has happened! I’ve just stopped feeling pressure of commitment and started to enjoy sharing the most treasured discoveries online.
Here are some examples of places that I found or share via Local Guide program:
Manna Gelats, Best gelato in Barcelona
Best coffee and dining spots in Saint Petersburg (list)
And my favorite finding The Beatles Museum in Saint Petersburg
All the links are working in case you might want to look at some places - they are fantastical! Of course my Guide level is not that high for me to seriously influence anything, but those tens of thousands views mean a world to me. I know that someone saw what I saw and maybe even felt what I felt? I’m happy, relieved and inspired to post all of my photo-adventures. The world is beautiful. I know this because of you, fellow Local Guides. And now I want to share my world with you. Be safe and thank you.
