What is the problem??

What is the problem with my shipping? The picture belongs to me, I wrote the information myself, but according to your post, you are closing the topic. My own picture, which is my own post, the write is being deleted?can you tell me what i violated???

I just shared a memory from my trip. I was told before that the picture does not belong to me, but I proved that it belongs to me. I entered the location correctly. Many people liked the picture and its description. What is the problem in this post?

@TusharSuradkar @AdamGT @ErmesT CAN you help me pls ??

I think I remember this post.

Maybe your post has been moved to off topic because they think for some users it could create some unpleasing feeling, @Gezendunyali .

I believe there are still many great things that you could share from your traveling experience other than public toilet.

Imho cmiaw

thanks bro but this is a historical relic and found really interesting.so we need to share no historical place, after all it is not used. @iorikun301

Sorry for responding so late, @Gezendunyali

I remember your post very well, as I responded in there, trying to focus on the historical subject.

However I agree with @iorikun301 when he says that “for some users it could create some unpleasing feeling”. Why? Because, despite the “Historical contents”, the focus of the most was more something like “how would you feel in this place?” more than in the fact of having, 20 centuries ago, a city with a public toilet available.

The city of Ephesus was historically one of those that most represented the best of the culture and civilization of the time, bringing together the Greek and Roman culture. The Library, the majestic amphitheater, and yes, their public baths too, have been an example for many centuries. The Romans in particular loved the baths, so much so that they built a city, Hierapolis, right next to a thermal spring.

In any case, why not to ask directly to @TsekoV ? I am sure he will add more details about how to write a good post

I do not think you had the possibility to read that post @BilalDuzenli , because when you joined the Community the post was not available, so I am not sure to understand your comment. I would like to remind you of The 5 core values of Connect.

My dear friend @ErmesT , it is not important that you write late, thank you for the answer, you wrote to Subject, yes, but the subject attracted a lot of attention and even some people asked me how it happened. The photo was said to be fake, I proved it. I added the location and provided the necessary information. It is very difficult to understand why a historical relic can be bad.o Let’s not add time castles too, because there are unpleasant places where wars are fought. I sent a private message to the friend who deleted my post, but I did not get a reply. I think deleting the post is a very rude and intolerant behavior. While I was trying to be a moderator here, such things reduced my desire and I guess I will not be on the forum from now on. .shouldn’t we share different and unknown places as travelers? It is not deleted while opening so many purposeless topics here, but a photograph of a historical remains is being deleted. It seems very illogical to me. Also, when I examined the forum rules, I could not see any article that would require this topic to be deleted. I do not want to write. If I were a moderator, which I would like to be, I write the error under the relevant topic and wait for it to be corrected. I will not delete the topic immediately.

Fun fact, @Gezendunyali , I live in small suburban area in Indonesia. And believe it or not, some household in my neighbourhood are still using toilet that has shape just like that historical public toilet you’ve shared.

So, when I saw the picture of historical public toilet you’ve shared, to be honest, it reminds me to my neighbour’s active toilet. That’s why I feel unpleasant.

I understand, my friend, but as a historical relic, it is impossible to know that it exists elsewhere in the world. If you felt that way, it would be better for me to be deleted :pray:t2: :pray:t2: :pray:t2: I am glad now. But it would be better to explain this before deleting it. Because you wake up in the morning and post delete it. It’s very hurtful @iorikun301

Well, I hope at the end everything is clear, @Gezendunyali .

In my opinion most of the time we do not want to create discomfort, as we are simply unaware of how our content can be disconfortale for others, but it may happen.

Let me please add a couple of notes:

  • You said: I sent a private message to the friend who deleted my post, but I did not get a reply. Google Moderators do not respond to unsolicited Private Messages, as clearly declared tin their signature.

  • “While I was trying to be a moderator here, such things reduced my desire and I guess I will not be on the forum from now on”. Let me share my personal experience with you. I never tried to be a moderator, I started to contribute because it was funny and interesting, and I helped others just because they were asking for an help and I had an answer for them. When Google invited me to be a Moderator, I was completely surprised, as it was a not expected invitation

Thank you, but as I said, telling the reason for deleting someone’s message is a matter of courtesy. That’s why I sent a message, otherwise I have no intention of bothering anyone with a private message. As I said, I think I will not post anymore because I feel unfair in every way. Thank you for your interest. @ErmesT :pray:t2:

Ok, @Gezendunyali , but please let me add “oh nooo, forget it!”

I suggest you to read again my post Happy Five Years in Connect - What I have learned in Five Years

What you are sharing is a common experience, when you are trying to do a lot and feel that your effort is not considered.

I started like you, with very simple post and short text, thinking that “if it is clear for me, it will be clear for everyone”. I was posting a lot, like if there was no tomorrow, and in a very short time I literally fired my quota of 1000 photos. It took time for me to understand that we are a worldwide community, with different culture, religion, history, habits, ideas. When I realized that, I literally started to change my way to contribute, writing more documented posts, adding details, thinking about how a person who lives in another country can interpret my post. Now I spend normally a week to prepare a post, and I always have at least three post on my waiting line, post that may need some detail, or a better photo, before to be published. I believe this is one of the reason why most of my post are featured in Connect, or become trendy.

My tip for you is: you have a huge potential, and you live in a country where there is a lot to share. Just take your time and, instead of giving us crumbs scattered in various posts, write a more complete post. For example, I could easily write a post about Ephesus, or Pamukkale, or the beautiful Asclepieion of Pergamon, but my photographic documentation is old, so I don’t. But you certainly have the opportunity to do so, perhaps not for the places I mentioned, but certainly for others.

Take your time, and have a fun in Connect
