Local Guide has occupied a prominent spot in our day to day life. I’m a level 6 Local Guide and have been in the field for approximately 4 years now. I have been able to help several people in and outside of my local area. The platform assists you to direct people to the destination they are willing to go.
Google local guide gives you the opportunity to raise your voice and reach out to others. As a Local Guide, I feel delighted when a person gets to his or her destination with my aid. You get that excitement from inside and the voluntarily to help further and even be motivated.
I’ve started using Local Guide before I begun college. It has helped me a great deal in my college life and in general.
I was able to get to multiple places using the local Guide.
When I first came to India for my studies, I downloaded the map of the city I was going to, in order to have some ideas about the city and places, while I’m in my hometown. My friends welcomed me. But after some days I was able to go to places on my own and that helped me a great deal in terms of budget, because if I go outside with my friends I had to pay for the expenses as they were like my local Guide. So I enjoyed using the Google Map.
I used to go to restaurants, both popular and unpopular, and post reviews about the restaurant so that other people get to see it. To my surprise, many people viewed it and that gave me the urge to give more reviews about places I go to. I went to parks and gardens with friends, to study and sometimes to have fun.
End of last year (2019), I travelled to Delhi with my friends for vacation. I made the most out of google map and as a local guide. From airport, to metros, to restaurants, to historical sites. 90 percent of these places I went to (even short distance places) I used Google local Guide. The goodness in Google Map is that, you can search whatever you want. For instance, you want to go to swimming pool. You just search swimming pool nearby, or cafeterias nearby and so on.
I explored many historical sites such as India Gate, Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, and many others.
Undoubtedly Google local Guide has helped me a lot, as I also helped other people. I hope to continue with the platform.
