@marcorp those are 2 names for the same thing. In the past Kudos was used, now the term Likes is used (with some Kudo leftovers from the past here and there).
Hi, @marcorp .
Likes and Kudos are the same thing with different names.
Even here in Indonesia we sometimes use term “Djempol” to like/kudo :))
@JanVanHaver thank you my friend!
@SebaasC thank you! now everything is clear!
@iorikun301 thank you my friend!
Here in the states they do mean different things. If you “like”
something you are saying that you enjoy something. For example, someone posts a picture of a dog doing something funny. You enjoy the picture so you select “like”. If however someone posts an accomplishment, for example, getting the most sales at work, then you would say “kudos”. We tend to use it at work. I may say kudos to someone that stood out in helping us achieve completion of a big project. Hope this makes it clearer to you.
@LightOwl thanks a lot!
they have basically the same meaning in the community. With the migration to the new Connect, one year ago, the definition “Kudo” (praise and honour) has been replaced by the easier “Like”.
Personally I preferred to use Kudo, because is a better acknoledgment, but Like is easier to understand for the new members, as it is more common, used on all social media
Hi @marcorp ,
As the Local Guides have explained to you in the comments above on Connect there is no difference between Likes and Kudos. Precisely for that reason I’ll mark @ErmesT commend as an Accepted Solution.
@SebaasC muchas gracias mi amigo!!! tenĂa esa duda!
@ErmesT always a pleasure to hear from you my friend… thanks for clarifying my doubts!
@JavieraAu excellent!!! thanks a lot!
