Anyone who don’t know what is Google Local guide? And what are its advantages? will get all the details here.

What is Local Guide?

Whenever anyone gives reviews on Google places/ google maps and/or contributes images, videos to their reviews some points are given by Google. On these points basis Google gives a level that is from 1 to 10. This is called Local guide level and contributor is known as Google Local Guide or Local Guide.

What you can do in Google Map as Local Guide?

  • Give ratings and reviews
  • Add media (photos and videos)
  • Add place, create list
  • Check facts
  • Suggest Edits

What Are The Different Levels of Local Guide?

Here are the 10 different levels of local guide given below:

  1. Level 1 - 0000 to 0014 points
  2. Level 2 - 0015 to 0074 points
  3. Level 3 - 0075 to 0249 points
  4. Level 4 - 0250 to 0499 points.
  5. Level 5 - 0500 to 1,499 points.
  6. Level 6 - 1,500 to 4,999 points.
  7. Level 7 - 5000 to 1,4999 points.
  8. Level 8 - 1,5000 to 49,999 points
  9. Level 9 - 50,000 to 9,99,999 points
  10. Level 10- 10,00,000

Google gives the Badge from level 4. My current Level is 7 and I have targeted to touch Level 8 in 2020 Inshallah.

What are the advantages of Local Guides?

Here are few very useful advantages.

  2. You will get access to beta versions of google products like currently users got Google One access for 1 TB for 6 month or more.
  3. You can contact, interact, meet local guides globally in Meet ups. You can also organize your own meetup.

This is a good brief outline for new Local Guides and a reminder for some of us who have been here slightly longer @Muhammad_Nawaz One of the biggest perks for me has been meeting up with real -life people at Local Guides MeetUps in my area, with other folks who share the same enthusiasm. Ive even organised some MeetUps. I’ve made some good friends.
