What I love sharing on Google Maps

Hey guys,

I am Frigyes from Budapest, Hungary. The city I live in, is the capitol of my country and it has a fascinating nightlife besides all the sightseeing opportunities. I want to get the attention of those who come here and want to enjoy themselves after visiting the must-see statues, museums and iconic buildings of Budapest. Our street-food palette is just amazing, plenty cultures and dozens of better and better hand-made varieties. In the heart of our city, we also have discos and bars upon pubs and shot-bars. I really want to show to our guests that we are not a boring nation, our youth is just as active and cool as in other countries that are well-known for their nightlife. Sadly, we also have a couple of restaurants and places that are overcharging tourists and I want to make sure, that sooner than later, everyone who visits Budapest uses Google’s Local Guide System and follow the footsteps of the locals in terms of services to avoid such places.

For a starter, avoid places that have someone on the street trying to lure people in. Any decent place won’t need such technique and mostly tourists-traps are doing this. Also, I know that for a fact, (Since I worked in a hotel before) that many four-five star hotels are recommending services that are overcharging for tourists and locals are never or rarely use. Don’t be afraid to ask someone local, most of the younger generations speak English very well and they know the capitol the best. The best sights of Budapest are fairly close to the party district, so any local who likes to party will be able to get you the directions.

For now, this is all what I wanted but I’m planning to add more advice, whenever I have the time.

Come, and visit Budapest!
